Acting Officer in Charge for the Fire Service (online)

Course Description
This will be an introductory course of training for Fire and Emergency Services personnel for Company Officer. This course will be for the firefighter who is ready to take on the responsibility, training, and desire in becoming a Fire Company Officer.
Prerequisites
Computer with high speed internet access and letter from Fire Chief. Microsoft Word 03 format is required for homework assignments. Documents saved in Word for Vista format cannot be accepted.
Who Should Attend
Please include the student's email address on the student authorization form. AN EMAIL ADDRESS IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS COURSE. Students who learn well from an online format and are disciplined to keep up with weekly assignments. Students have sufficient computer skills to navigate an online platform, use email, and also function within a chat room discussion.
Special Notes
This class is a blended learning delivery. Students will be required to watch an online lecture each week and complete a quiz at the end of the section. There will be a final practical session and written exam on campus at GPSTC the advertised last day of the class. Attendance of this session on campus is required and failure to attend will result in a failure for the class.
