Course Description
This class will cover key workplace protections under Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the concept of reasonable accommodations, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). These laws ensure that employees with disabilities and pregnant workers receive fair treatment in the workplace. By the end of this presentation, you will have a clear understanding of employer responsibilities and how to handle accommodation requests properly. A discrimination-free workplace is essential for fostering a productive and respectful work environment. Students will also learn the federal laws that prohibit workplace discrimination, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act. Understanding these laws helps ensure that all employees are treated fairly and equitably.
